Biobreed models are handmade assets per model with no compromise to quality with heavily rebashed or dressed up repurposed/established models and stolen assets. BIOBREED STUDIOS insures every piece gets the attention to detail that it deserves and that hobbyist are protected and getting a truly unique artistic piece.
In an effort to bring awarness to hobbyist here are some tips you can take to protect yourself, and the inegrity of the hobby, from buying heavily bashed models made from stolen or established assets.
1. Putting out a lot of models per month, not even artist in the gaming and vfx industry( who are notriuosly fast ) could do this and it’s actually their day job. unless it’s a large group of multiple artist this just isn’t feasbale without the quality of the models taking a massive hit.
2. Generally rebashers will not have online portfolios or a presence in the digital community( zbrush forums, polygon. Etc ) for the simple fact is that the digital community can quickly recgonzie stolen/repurposed assets and just as quickly call people out without hesitation. Research who you are buying from, follower count and praise from misinformed hobbyist doesn’t mean they aren’t scammers/rebashers.
3. If models have likeness portraits that are EXACT right down to the last pore and wrinkle to represent the celebrity with absolute accuracy, but custom portraits are amazingly subpar and horrendous is a clear indication. Another thing to look floor are emotions, static faces are easily done compared to faces with extreme emotions being conveyed.
4. If they keep releasing and rahasing characters that have lots of 3D assets from artist, games and movies out there.
5. If the outfit a character is wearing matches a previuolsy released/established asset right down to the exact folds.
6. Finally, there are sites which you can find to compare the assets to models you may be thinking of buying to any you may find on asset sharing sites. Outfit design layouts and hair placement are clear giveaways. If you see a character you want to buy google the name followed by 3D model is a good starting point.
